Overview of your role in Pentalog
As a Java expert at Pentalog, you will be working in the technical department team with talented experts in different domains and together with you, this department will become another transversal force of Pentalog. This force should be able to quickly resolve all major difficulties of different project managers, coach different internships, manage technical department’s researches, studies or benchmarks, prepare and animate trainings, work on client estimations for commercial proposals or validate estimations.

A key attribute for you will be to help engineers always improve theirs skills by continually improve the performance tools and quality analysis from the first day of their project till their releases to thousands of customers worldwide.
You will be involved in all the technical discussions, drive new innovative ideas of designing software systems, and make calls on what is feasible and what is not.

More concrete details on what you will do
- Directely subordinated to the Technical Director, you will enrich the database for technologies, architectures, metrics, questionnaires as well as the internal Pentalog knowledge base.
- You will manage several research topics, studies or internships,internal code reviews, and technical audits.
- Commercial proposals and continue evaluation of coworkers will also be included, as well as Pentalog technical help-desk activities.
- You will be in close relationship with other developers, product managers and performance engineers and in the same time you will be connected with the technical leads and architects to promote great software design and quality.
- You will drive innovation by coming up with new and surprising ideas for our products and processes.
- You will develop awesome new features front to back as part of a team.
- Point out issues with the existing architectures and codes on different projects, followed by offering help in order to clean it up.

Internship description:

Within his Internships Program, Pentalog is training young programmers in the development of Web applications. In 2008, over 60 interns were a part of Pentalog’s Internships Program and around 70% of them were hired permanently at the end of the internship.

In the present, the SIL department of Pentalog is recruiting an intern who will be a part of the developing team of internal applications. Under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will participate in researching and developing internal projects, an excellent opportunity to put into practice the good theoretical knowledge that you have.

The standard internship is paid and is Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day), for a 3 months period, with the possibility of hiring the intern at the end of it.

The interns are chosen after a selection: CV, skills tests and an interview. The ideal candidates are students in the final year or graduates with one of the following profiles: Computers, Automatics, Informatics, Cybernetics, Mathematics, Electronics, Telecommunications etc.
