Job description:
The client is a European leader in selling travel products online (vacations, cruises, hotels, plane tickets, etc.). Pentalog participates in creating and maintaining the sites that totalize over 70 million views and 5 million unique visitors per month. The team for this project currently include 17 people: one project manager, 2 Java architects, 10 developers, a Business Intelligence specialist, 2 testers and a webmaster.
The collaboration with this client is open-end, a dedicated team is working on many different projects with an average duration of 2-3 months. Some of the technologies used: Java, J2EE, Web Services, MySQL, UML, Spring, SpringMVC, Hibernate, Tomcat, JUnit, Xfire, Talend. The architecture of the applications is SOA.
The organization of the project is based on a mix of Agile and classic practices, in a controlled environment:
- The requirements are grouped into iterations
- The development process is MDA, using code generation tools
- Continuous integration and process automation
- Monitoring the technical quality of deliverable in real time
- Continuous testing at all levels (unit tests, integration tests, automatic non-regression tests, functional tests).
The success factors of the project are reactivity, technical and functional quality, complying estimates and ability to adapt to customer’s demands.
With an experience of minimum 1 year in manual and/or automatic testing you will be together with the Project Manager, the functional guarantor of the applications to be developed.
After a training phase you will be responsible of:
- Understanding the functionality of the application
- Bug tracking
- Proposing optimizations in order to achieve maximum performance and usability
- Designing and writing test plans and charts
- Manual and automatic testing
- Drafting reports with the test results
Requirements:
- Understanding the functional specifications of the products, the life cycle of an IT project
- Good knowledge in MS Office
- Knowledge JAVA – advantage
- Experience in manual testing – minimum one year
- Experience in automated testing – advantage Selenium
- Experience in using bug-tracker: JIRA, Mantis, etc.
- Automated testing frameworks: JUnit – advantage
- French advanced – mandatory
- Person ambitious, flexible, results-oriented and willing to learn
