Following the excellent customer support provided for 2G and 2.5G platforms we are focusing our activities towards 3G maintenance and support for ST-Ericsson in the same successful way, looking for quick and professional in responding to customer needs engineers who excel at teamwork and assume responsibility.
This highly integrated 3.5G solution uses a fully validated modem and advanced multimedia technology to reduce design complexity and time-to-market. It provides an evolutionary step that brings our leadership in EDGE and TD-SCDMA to the HSDPA market. The 6710 system solution is a very powerful yet very affordable 3G/HSDPA/EDGE solution for the value added services (VAS) 3G market.
Requirements:
- University Degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Automatics)
- Good knowledge of hardware process, starting from concept, hardware development…until mass production
- Experience in Analog and Digital Electronic circuits (Power management Unit, LDO, Operational amplifier, Charger IC, uC, NOR, NAND, memory timing analysis…)
- Good knowledge of uC interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, IRDA…
- Good knowledge of: MMC, SD card, LCD display, Video camera
- Good knowledge of interface between hardware and software
- Good knowledge of design tools (e.g.: Mentor, MathCAD, ORCAD, PSpice)
- Experience in device design regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and PCB design
- Good knowledge in measuring and test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer…)
- Good know how of: RF Circuit Design, Baseband Design and Design Validation
- Telecom experience: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS 3GPP
- Experience and knowledge in soldering SMD components
- Knowledge in reading schematics and components placement documents
- English is a must, French is an advantage
- Good communication skills are required
Activities:
- Handle hardware problems reported by the local support or end customer
- Train customers and provide support for the local SW customer support team
- Memory timing analysis in order to check uC and memory compatibilities
- Record and analyze various signal traces such as SD card signals, card detections, data transfer, SPI Bus…
- Handle audio problems provided by the customer or local support
- Problem Report/Change Request analysis around acquisition & display peripherals
- Repair a non-functional board LCD foil broken, camera sensor HS (green aspect) and so on…
- Implementation on reference board or customer board a floating solution (e.g. connect a demo board of a new camera on board)
- Cooperate with an international development team and customers
