Romania-Iasi: Senior Server Administrator (RIAS484)
Job description:
Maintaining the collaborations line with various leading companies, Pentalog is currently running projects on various technologies. Within the agency of Iasi, we are launching a new challenge to professionals from three different specialties, who will be working together on the same team:
- .NET Developers,
- iPhone Developers and
- Senior Server Administrator.
Our partner is a German leader specialized in the manufacture of high pressure cleaners. The company is present in 44 countries worldwide and counts 7 500 employees. The mission agreed with Pentalog Iasi involves the development of Web and iPhone solutions, the purpose being to perform a quality management of products and customers. The entire team will include 7 people who will work closely under the supervision of a Project Manager.
As a Senior Server Administrator you will be involved in the folllowing main activities:
- Providing technical content to support the user and providing technical documentation for the system;
- Providing technical documentation required for software products;
- Supporting the development team.
Requirements:
- University degree in IT / Engineering or other related fields;
- Experience in Linux servers administration- minimum 2 years;
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting OS, firewall;
- Setup for Unix servers (HP, IBM SUN);
- Knowledge of server-side hardware level (different platforms);
- Installation and backup SQL databases, Oracle;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, team spirit;
- Enthusiasm and good communication skills;
- English – mandatory;
- German language – advantage.
