Romania-Brasov, Bucharest, Iasi: Project Manager for Servers & Networks (RRO526)
Job description:
Pentalog Romania brings to your attention an interesting project that we run together with an important German leader specialized in the manufacture of high pressure cleaners. Our partner is present in 45 countries and its over 60 agencies include about 7000 employees.
With an impressive IT infrastructure, this company continues to develop; for a dedicated team that we currently build, we will integrate a Project Manager for Servers & Networks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the systems and server administration team, including 2 colleagues in Germany. Initial team size: 4-5 in Romania + 2 in Germany.
- Organize the work (shift or “on duty” system).
- Understand very well the project and distribute tasks to the correct people according to their skills.
- Participate in the daily business of server and systems administration as a senior expert in his field of competence (at least 80% of the time).
Requirements:
Core Competence:
- TCP/IP: Application Layer.
- Linux: Red Hat distributions (RHEL, CentOS, RedHat, Fedora), Proxy, DNS.
- Mail: Linux based system, SMTP, MX, DNS, SpamAssassin, AntiVirus.
At least basic knowledge in several of the following technologies (descending order of importance):
- Windows Server: Windows Server 2003 Administration (2000/2008 is a plus), Active Directory.
- EMC: SAN/NAS Storage Manageme.
- VMWare: VMWare Infrastructure, VMWare Converter, VMotion.
- Exchange: MS Exchange 2003/2007 Administration.
- SQL Server: Linux and Windows instances, clusters, backup/restore, SQL, command line, performance problem solving.
- Networking: Cisco Routers and Switches. Verifications.
Soft skills:
- The person hast to be very mature and responsible. His team will administer the servers and network of the customer all over the world. The slightest failure might stop the customer’s sales, delivery or production.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in this domain.
- Good management and organization skills, able to organize work in shifts or “on duty”.
- Willing to travel abroad -> Initial training phase of at least 6 weeks in Germany!
