Romania-Brasov: Continuous integration and automated testing internship (RBRA474)
Internship description:
Continuing the tradition of preparing young IT professionals in different areas of expertise, Pentalog is now searching for an intern in software testing – an ambitious, rigorous person who is also eager to further develop a career in IT. The training period is 6 months, and will take place in Brasov Pentalog agency. The internship is paid.
Considering the fact that continuous integration can not be a success without executing automated tests, the internship will be divided into two stages:
1. SVN, Hudson, Sonar, Maven, JUnit;
2. GreenPepper, Synopsys, Fitnesse.
What will you learn?
The three pylons of continuous integration: source server (SVN, CVS …), continuous integration server (as Hudnson, Cruise Control …), an automated build process (Ant, Maven, Gradle …) should be understood, and you, as a future expert, you will need to apply these concepts in several continuous integration configurations.
What do we expect from you at the end of the internship?
1. Ability to achieve various build plans;
2. Experience in build tools like Maven;
3. Experience in tools for tracking and managing code quality such as Sonar with FindBugs, PMD, CheckStyle;
4. Experience in tools of continuous integration like Bamboo, Cruise control;
5. Experience in tools of automated testing like GreenPepper, Fitnesse;
6. Experience in unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Nunit;
7. Experience in shell scripts;
8. Experience in configuration management;
9. Very good attention to details;
10. Industrialization of the continuous integration process.
What will you be able to do after the internship?
1. Identification of a new generation of tools and methods related to the continuous integration;
2. A better understanding of enterprise technologies such as J2EE, .NET;
3. Good understanding of web applications and servers application;
4. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, LABManager.
Essential conditions in order to participate to the internship:
1. Java language;
2. Eclipse;
3. SVN;
4. English;
5. Teamwork;
6. Ability of distance communication;
7. Another professional experience with other developing or testing languages, frameworks or continuous integration technologies – a plus.
