Romania-Sibiu: Java programming internship (RSIB275)

bullet Internship description:

The Pentalog training program trains young IT engineers in the development of Java applications. In 2008 the Pentalog training program had almost 60 interns, 70% of them being hired at the end of their internship.

The standard internship is paid and lasts 3 months. During this period the intern is trained and works independently or in a team with other interns on a R&D project, under the guidance of the Technical Manager. The next period of Java internships starts in Sibiu in January/February 2009. For this period we have 2 openings.

The interns are chosen after an established process (resume and interview) that includes skill testing. The ideal candidates are students (minimum second year of university) at the following faculties: Computer technology, Automatics, IT, Math, Electronics, Telecom etc.

At the end of the training period an evaluation is made in order to decide if the intern will enter the Pentalog team, with the department of architecture and application development for the industrial computing technology.

bullet Minimum requirements:

- A good IT culture, good grades
- Basic knowledge in object oriented programming
- Knowledge of DBMS and SQL
- Knowledge of Java/J2EE may be a plus
- Knowledge of the architecture and the design patterns for the Web and/or client-server Java solutions is a plus
- A good level of English and German

bullet Skills acquired during the internship:

- Practical experience in developing Web and/or client-server applications
- Knowledge in Java architecture and design patterns implementation
- Company environment: joining a team, communicating with co-workers and clients, improving knowledge related to a real project
